Parish Oktoberfests in the Chicago Area

Chicago-area Catholic parishes run some of the best Oktoberfests in the city — beer, brats, live polka and a parish hall full of neighbours. Most fall across late September and early October.

Common questions

When are Chicago parish Oktoberfests?

Most run over a weekend in late September or early October. Several parishes hold theirs on the same weekends, so it is worth checking a few if you have a date in mind.

Do you have to be a parishioner to go?

No. Parish Oktoberfests are open to the public and are usually one of the parish’s main fundraisers of the year. Everyone is welcome.

Are parish Oktoberfests family friendly?

Almost always. Alongside the beer tent most include games, rides or activities for children, and many run an earlier family session before the evening crowd.
