Welcome the Stranger Ministry
A group at St. Teresa of Avila Catholic Parish in Chicago About this group
St. Teresa of Avila parishioners have been working with Exodus World Services to support refugee families in coalition with other Lincoln Park/Old Town parishes. Together we support a refugee family coming to the United States by collectively buying and delivering a Welcome Pack and groceries for their arrival. You can also volunteer as a New Neighbor: helping in many ways, from tutoring English, to assisting the family with navigating public transportation, to simply being an American friend.
Welcome the Stranger Ministry is organised in the Hearth app. Joining, messages and meeting details live there — the app is free.
