Legion of Mary

Chicago, Illinois

We Welcome all people of good will to find at St. Peter's a sanctuary of peace and spiritual renewal in the midst of the ordinary routines of a busy world. We Offer healing grace, especially through the liturgical ministry of Eucharist and Reconciliation, Liturgy of the Hours and through other devotional opportunities. We Believe God calls us to be signs of divine love and to be co-workers with Christ. We Believe the Church brings Christ's saving presence to our world through the ministry of Word and Sacrament, prayer and good works. We Believe that as Franciscans we are called to bring Gospel values to our world by our way of life and by our ministry among God's people. We Commit Ourselves to be instruments of conversion and peace for people alienated from God and neighbor, due especially to materialism, selfishness, and prejudice. We Commit Ourselves to support the dignity and participation of all the baptized, so that through collaborative and inclusive ministry we become agitators for Gospel change in very area of our society. We Commit Ourselves to be attentive to the special needs of the destitute and marginalized.
